Sylvia Thornhill |
Sylvia Thornhill, water colour artist, has been painting for a few years. She works mainly in watercolour though has used acrylics and oils and sometimes textiles depending on the subject. She sells most of her work locally, though a few have gone to far flung places, such as Canada, Australia and Uganda. |
Sylvia Thornhill was a teacher for many years, but is now enjoying her retirement. She lives life to the full, filling her time with gardening, painting, and spending time with her grand children (amongst other things). |
Her painted subjects have included some of the following: Brighton Pier in Sussex, Lake Geneva, Craster (Northumberland), the Forth Bridge, Scotney Castle, Polruan (Cornwall), and many varied flowers. |
